FAW officials meeting Sam today over FAW Premier Cup

The FAW hierarchy were due to meet with Sam Hammam today in a bid to keep the Bluebirds in the FAW Premier Cup. Sam has threatened to pull the Bluebirds from the competition as they focus on the first division.

It's thought the FAW people will try and step up their efforts to earn a European place for the FAW Premier Cup winners and so tempt City to stay involved.

The Bluebirds are contracted to the cup for this coming season, a point that will be relayed to Sam who gave an earlier impression that City would withdraw immediately.
