Police investigating the killing of two cousins of the Cardiff City striker Kenwyne Jones in Trinidad have arrested a man.
Police on the Caribbean island confirmed a man was in custody over the shooting of Deshon Sobers, 21, and her brother Trevon Sobers, 24.
The footballer returned to Trinidad after Saturday's game against Leeds.
He unveiled a T-shirt tribute to his cousins after he scored his team's third goal.
Jones, 30, a Trinidad and Tobago international, took off his Cardiff shirt to show a T-shirt which said "RIP Deshon and Chibbi". It is believed that Chibbi is a nickname for Trevon.
The player flew to his homeland following the match.
'Support and assistance'
Cardiff City have offered their "sincere condolences" to the striker and asked that he and his family "are given space and privacy at this difficult time".
Last Friday, the day before the game, a funeral service was held for his cousins in the Trinidad town of Chaguanas.
Local media have reported that the cousins were shot in a house in Chaguanas two weeks earlier. Two other relatives - a brother of the shot cousins, and an uncle - were also injured.
The local newspaper Newsday reported that police were looking for a man who had formerly been in a relationship with Ms Sobers.
Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Johnny Abraham told BBC Wales that a man was now in custody. No charges have yet been laid.
Jones will miss Cardiff's next two games and is not expected to return to the club until after the international break later this month.
The player has scored six times for the Bluebirds this season. The club said they would "offer Kenwyne the support and assistance that he needs in the coming weeks".
