There seems little doubt that Danny will move this summer. He's contracted until 2008 meaning he's an asset that will command a fee as well as helping to reduce the wage bill.
Gabbidon has made no secret of his wish to play in the Premeirship, he recently told the Western Mail
I obviously want to be playing at the highest club level possible - and that means the Premiership. I won't fib to you about that because it's the truth.
"I've had a great time at Cardiff City, really enjoyed it and it would be wonderful if I could achieve my goal with what is essentially my hometown club.
"But we were involved in a big relegation fight this season - something that shouldn't have been the case with the players we have at the club - and it's not something any footballer wishes to be involved in.
"I'm 26 now and I want to be testing myself every week against the best strikers in the country, playing at the best stadiums.
"That will improve me as a footballer at club level and it will also aid me when I step up into the international arena with Wales.
"Earnie is a big mate of mine and I'm delighted to see how he has taken to the Premiership with West Brom like a duck to water, in terms of scoring goals.
"Clearly there comes a point when I think I want to emulate what he is doing. In many ways it would be great, but extremely strange, to play against Earnie at club level."
Last week Gabbidon was linked to relegated Southampton.
