But Ramsey has options. Arsenal, Liverpool and now Everton are all chasing his signature.
"Whatever happens, the move must be the right one for the kid," says Dave Jones.
"I am sure he will make the right decision. Apart from the football, he is an extremely level-headed youngster, very modest with a very strong and fantastic family behind him.
"When it came to this deal we have always maintained that, of course, it had to be right for Cardiff City, but it also had to be the right move to continue Aaron's development."
It's been reported that Ramsey has ageed terms with Man Utd but he is talking to all parties ahead of making the biggest decision in his life so far.

"You would like to think some of the money will be made available and not put away in the bank account," Dave Jones said
"We did not need to sell to move in the transfer market, but obviously Aaron's departure does provide some income for us.
"I will be sitting down with the chairman to do what we can do in the next few weeks."
