Arsenal`s attacking 20-year-old arrived at City in January and has played his role in the club`s promotion charge, bagging the second goal in Tuesday`s 2-0 victory at Sheffield United to take his tally to two from 12 appearances, seven of which have been starts.
Emmanuel-Thomas will go back to the Emirates Stadium in the summer but he has not ruled out pulling on the blue and white of Cardiff again next term.
"It would be great to go back to Arsenal knowing I've played a part in helping a team get to the Premier League," he told the South Wales Echo.
"You never know what will happen but I could be back here next season. I don't know what the situation will be. My future at the moment though is with Arsenal."
One player who appears certain to return sooner than that is goalkeeper Jason Brown, who this week returned to parent club Blackburn having spent one month on loan at Cardiff. He has used his Twitter account to say: "Happy to announce that I'll be extending my loan at Cardiff until the end of the season."
