Eastwood has now said how he'd like to play for Cardiff. In a revealing interview he tells how he's now surplus to requirements at Wolves and is looking for a new club.
"I need to get away from Wolves and play - and Cardiff would be a very good move for me," he said.
"They would be attractive to anyone - they got to the FA Cup final last year and they've got a lot of good young players - you only have to look around the Welsh squad to see that.
"They have brought a lot of good players through and I know they had a little bit of a difficult season in the league, but they showed what they can do by getting to the Cup final and in the end they were unfortunate not to win it. So anyone would fancy something like that."
"I've had my problems with Wolves, but whenever I've played under Tosh I've shown what I can do - and I know I can do the same at club level if I get the chance."
Eastwood feels he's done well when he has played at Wolves and has the backing of the fans. It's the manager who's in charge though and he's willing to let the player go.
Eastwood continued: "The manager has told me I can go - as simple as that. But at least I know where I stand. It's been strange all season because the fans have been very supportive and I don't think they want me to go,
"I like the club, I like the fans and I wanted to do well there, but when the manager makes a call like that, it's time to move on."
Coventry were said to be interested but it's thought their interest has cooled.
