City boss Lennie Lawrence has faced a fair bit of critisism for leaving Earnie on the bench for the opening 6 games this season. Tonight at York St, Boston Earnie had his chance and he took it with both hands. A 17 minute hat trick in the first half was enough to see City on their way to round to 2 but it was also a drop me if you dare massege to Lawrence.
"I was really pleased for Robert. It was great for him to come back into the side and get right back on song. It certainly gives me a selection headache, but that is good for Cardiff City", Lawrence told our reporter after the game.
City face Stockport on Saturday. THe Hatters have only conceeded 2 league goals all season and have kept clean sheets in the last 4 games. Earnie must be relishing the chance to break their clean sheet sequence.
