And Ninian Park chief Lawrence admitted the heartbreak of missing out on next year's big European tournament in Portugal has caused a dip in their club form.
Since the decisive November 19 clash with Russia, 21-goal marksman Earnshaw has not scored from open play, while Gabbidon has played in a defence that has shipped 12 goals in five matches.
"The play-off against Russia took an enormous amount out of them because it was such a massive game," Lawrence told The Western Mail yesterday.
