Brentford are currently the second division leaders. The Bees drew 2 - 2 at Notts County today. Far from being cannon fodder as expected Brentford are coping well with the new season.
Second place are Plymouth. Newly promoted the Pilgrims are not afraid of the new division and earned a 2 - 2 draw at Loftus Rd today against QPR.
Wigan are third, they were surprisingly beaten at Colchester today.
Crewe moved into 4th place thanks to a thumping 5 - 0 win at Mansfield. City are 5th and Stockport move into 6th place after a 1 - 0 win at Swindon.
The top 6 are all within 3 points of each other.
What makes interesting reading is City's next 6 games.
We play all of the other teams currently in the top 6 plus Notts County. Firstly we take on the current 6th place team Stockport County at Ninian Park on Sept 14th, three days later on the 17th it's leaders Brentford turn to come to the Capital. Notts County host the Bluebirds on Sep 21st before we play Plymouth, Crewe and Wigan in quick succession.
City have struggled against the lower teams, now it will be time to have a crack at the teams at the business end of the table.
