Roger injured his wrist in the win over Forest last Saturday and played the 2nd half not knowing if it was broken or not. It seems though that Rog will be fit for Saturday and will play alongside Purse.
With the addition of Michael Chopra and Quincy to the squad Jones has several options up front. With the frontmen winning games for City at the moment both new recruits may start on the bench.
The pressure would be on McCormack and Parry with Chops and Quincy respectively their natural replacements.
For Gyepes, he's hoping to be fit for the Arsenal return on Monday week. It's going to be a tight call though.
"I badly want to be okay for the Arsenal match," Gyepes told the Echo.
"It is a match which allows Cardiff City to show our performance during the 0-0 draw at home was not a one-off.
"We can show again this Cardiff team has genuine quality." Gyepes, meanwhile, is having treatment on his hamstring tear which will keep him out for between two and four weeks.
"It's so frustrating," said Gyepes. "I am having scans to check the recovery.
"I made a tackle and could feel the pain. I can't say how it happened. Roger Johnson and I have settled in really well together. I had to be patient for my chance when Roger and Darren were playing together and the situation is still the same.
"The three of us are challenging for two places - and that's healthy."
