"I'm not a revengeful person, but I can be vindictive. There's a slight difference," Jones told the Western Mail.
"Wolves and Southampton are no different to any other match. I want to beat everybody. I look forward to going to every club and, home or away, all I'm concerned about is getting three points."
Jones left Wolves in 2004 after taking them into and out of the Premiership. He was at Southampton for 4 years before losing his job to defend himself against false alleagtions of child abuse.
Jones will do the job his way this coming season saying
"My aim at Cardiff is to be successful. I will do anything to win a football match. If that means shutting up shop and being dour, then I'll shut up shop and be dour. If that means playing free-flowing, attacking football then we'll do that. You have to play with what you've got."
