It will be a bit hard to swallow, Crewe's biggest crowd of the season cheering the Railwaymen on their promotion. We had the chance. 1 point from the last 12 ended any hopes we had of automatic promotion.
The best City can do is score a couple, at least beat them so they don't have their cake and eat it.
Lennie will make some changes for tomorrow. Most likely players to come in are Whalley for Legg, Bonner for Ainsworth, Campbell for Earnshaw and maybe Jenkins for Weston.
The "rested" players are likely to be on the bench so there is the chance Earnie could still get his record breaking goal.
City expected
Alexander, Weston or Jenkins, Prior, Barker, Croft, Bonner, Boland, Kav, Whalley, Thorne, Campbell.
Subs from Walton, Margetson, Weston or Jenkins, Legg, Earnshaw, Ainsworth, Gordon, Young.
Tomorrow will decide who we play in the play offs, it's either QPR, Bristol City or Oldham Dates for the play off semi's are either Sat 10th or Sun 11th for the first leg and either Tues 13th or Wed 14th for the second leg.
All will become clear when the teams are paired together and the Football League and SKY TV sort out televised games and safety etc.
Kick off at Gresty Rd is at 3:00pm and City fans will be in party mood as the regulation season comes to an end.
I was hoping to have a footballing break after tomorrow, a few weeks without having to trawl the M1, M4, M5 or M6 but our season has been extended so keep tuned in, full coverage of the play offs and the build up to the play offs will follow.
There will be live commentary on Cardiff City World but limited radio coverage as Radio Wales will be splitting their attention between happenings at the Vetch (where Swansea could go out of the league) and the Millennium Stadium where there is a rugby final of some sorts.
Come on Cardiff, lets go out with a win and more importantly get used to scoring goals again (over 6 hours since the last one). Good luck to Earnie, let's hope he gets his chance to beat the record.
