Council to discuss new stadium on Aug 13th

The planning committe have scheduled Cardiff City's new stadium plans to be discussed on August 13th, 4 days after the new season kicks off.

If the go ahead is given by the council it will then be passed to the Welsh Assembly for approval becuase of the retailing element.

If the go ahead is given then City will have to build a new athletics stadium on the other side of Leckwith Rd before work can commence on the current athletic stadiums demise and subsequent development of the new football stadium.
