A journey from Nottingham to the M1 that should have taken 15 - 20 mins ended up being over an hour with a jaunt through Nottinghamshire and Leicestershire before delivering us back to the motorway.
Someone has suggested that we were diverted to avoid being delayed by an accident on the outskirts of Nottingham but I've been on equally as stupid convoys before like one from Ashton Gate that took us through parts of the West Country even the locals didn't know existed.
I fail to see what benefit to anyone the route below achieved.
