Less than 18 months after his £5m move to the Stadium of Light Chopra is back in Cardiff.
The striker has signed on loan for a couple of months with club saying he's here until January but we dn't know exactly yet what dates.
Chopra's addition is a huge boost after the injuries to McCormack and Bothroyd. We've seen before that Chopra is a superb striker at this level. He scored 22 goals in 42 league games when he was here for the 2006 / 2007 season.
His first action could be this Saturday when City travel to Q.P.R. Ironically his last first team action for Cardiff was at Loftus Rd when he was sent off in the 90th minute as City lost 1 - 0 in April 2007. He never played a league game again for City, missing the last two games of the season.
His first game at Ninian Park will be on Saturday November 15th when City entertain Crystal Palace.
Welcome back Michael Chopra.
