The Club have been quick to issue a statement which starts off
"Today's Western Mail (Friday May 26th 2006) carried an article regarding the new stadium project and the Club's business plan. Its headline inferred that the business plan had failed. As a result of this headline, which was totally inaccurate we have employed lawyers to gain both an apology and a retraction."

Cardiff City are getting close to the end of the reduced priced season ticket period and headlines like that from the paper will deter fans rather than encourage them to buy their season tickets. With the stadium still on the horizon and the committment of Dave Jones to the club it does seem quite a sensationalist headline.
