City v Blades early team news

Cardiff are missing their first choice back four with Mark Hudson still ruled out for a few more weeks yet and muscle injuries keeping Anthony Gerrard and Kevin McNaughton out of the side.

Darcy Blake and Gabor Gyepes will be the centre half pairing with any two from Tony Capaldi, Paul Quinn and Adam Matthews at full back.

Dave Jones must decide if he brings Michael Chopra back into the starting line up. Chopra watched from the bench as Ross McCormack scored in the win over Watford. The midfield four of Whittingham, McPhail, Rae and Burke are likely to remain unchanged.

I would expect Ross to be given the nod and Chopra will once again have to be content with being sub.

Jay Bothroyd is currently on 9 yellow cards and will get a two match ban if he picks up another one.

Sheffield United will be without injured striker Henri Camara (groin), but Chris Morgan is back after a ban.

Jamie Ward, Darius Henderson (both hamstring) and Ched Evans (collarbone) are still unavailable.
