City to step up Feeney interest

Luton Town's Warren Feeney appears to top the wanted listed. Feeney is reported to be the player alluded to by Dave Jones when he explained that his club wanted compensation

'When we tried to sign a player on loan his club wanted a £150,000 fee.

'We are not in a position to do that.

'If we were top of the Championship and playing to full houses at Ninian Park then okay, but we aren't.'

Feeney is out of contract this summer and was left out of the Luton team that lost to Ipswich on the weekend because of his refusal to sign a new deal.
