Michael Oakes is 33, he was at Villa trough the 90's playing 50 league games. He moved to Wolves for £500,000 in 1999 and wenty onto start 198 league games.
He was released by Woilves at the end of last season.
City now have Oakes and David Forde as senior goalkeepers which leaves the way open for Dave Jones to bring in a younger keeper, possibly on loan for a season from a Premiership club.
