Young has had to retire from full time professional football but hopes to play part time when possible.
Jason Bowen still feels he can command a place in the football league but is reluctant to leave the area. He told the Echo this week
"Newport invited me down for training and asked me to play. I haven't finally made up my mind what to do, but Newport are a good club and I know a lot of the players.
"I'd love to continue playing full-time football and I think I could do that, but I don't want to move home again or travel miles unless the terms are good.
"I've two boys under 10 and it's not fair to uproot them from school for what could be a year or so."
Layton Maxwell meanwhile has joined up with Chester City. He has just started training and hopes to do enough to earn a long term contract.
