I must admit I'm a bit like a kid in a sweet shop when it comes to the early rounds of the FA Cup.
Forget the final, the last 4 or the last 8, it tends to be the usual suspects but early on the giant killings, the rain, the nightmare pitches and the beauty of an open draw with no seeds makes the FA Cup the greatest domestic competition in the world.
Tonight Horsham, from about level 7 or 8 held Swansea City, the team who top level 3 in the pyramid, to a 1 - 1 draw in appalling conditions. It was live on Sky and just excellent to watch.
This year 14 non-league teams have made it to round 2, a feat not acheived in decades. The more that make round 3 the better. Now Horsham will have the chance to hear their name potentially called out against Man Utd or Chelsea. It's fairytale stuff. OK they will probably lose at the Liberty but the dream is there and it's special.
So on Sunday afternoon the draw will see Cardiff City drawn against ?? Could be anyone. That's what makes it so special.
