Earnie looking for goals |
Lennie looks set to keep the same starting XI for the 4th game in a row. There could be a change though on the bench. Steve Jenkins could find himself named amongst the subs.
Probable squad
Alexander, Weston, Young, Barker, Croft, Bowen, Boland, Kav, Mahon, Earnie, Thorne. Subs from Margetson, Legg, Prior, Fan, Jenkins, Maxwell, Leo, Gordon, Collins and Bonner.
Campbell, Whalley, Gabbidon and Hughes are still injured.
Peterborough welcome back Leon McKenzie from injury and new signing Mark Fotiadis from Portsmouth. Both are expected to play in tomorrows game.
City, while not in the best of form have only lost 1 in 7 played since Christmas. Wins against Huddersfield, Cheltenham and Northampton along with draws with Oldham, Barnsley and Swindon (all the draws at home) have earned 12 points from 21. The only defeat was in the away game at Huddersfield.
Away form needs to be spot on, City are on the road for 4 of the next 5 games.
The Divisions top 2 are in action tomorrow. Wigan visit Crewe. First and foremost Cardiff must win. That added to a Wigan victory would see city level with Crewe with a game in hand. The combinations are many, bottom line is 3 points to the Bluebirds. We can assess the top of the table afterwards.
Robert Earnshaw will be looking to impress after his scoring for Wales in midweek. Earnie is on 23 league goals with 5 in the last 7 games. He is the key to City's success this season. Rhys Weston is also back after his Wales appearance.
