City linked with Riordan bid

Further reports on Monday night claim that the earlier stories are not quite accurate. Over the weekend it emerged that City had made a £500K bid for Riordan plus add ons that could see the transfer advance to £1m.

Hibs manager Tony Mowbray claimed the figures were well wide of the mark, saying: "There was a discussion between my chairman and their chairman and whether it could be construed as a bid, I'm not sure. I wouldn't say it was a serious bid."
