City linked with Chopra return

City have had their hands tied of late because of the court case but now that's been resolved the club have the chance to strengthen.

"Now, at last, I can concentrate on strengthening the squad," said Peter Ridsdale.

"We have been working hard all along to bring in the right players - over the last couple of days alone we have been knocked back for six players - but the court case meant finances were difficult."

The club have not confirmed their Chopra interest but it's thought Ridsdale has spoken to Sunderland Chairman Niall Quinn.
