With Cardiff already assured of a play off place Jones has the chance to rest players who are carrying knocks or who maybe have too many bookings.
Jones has seen many injured players recover and make their mark on the first team and can virtually name a fully changed side with like for like players.
"Every player that's here should be fit, capable and ready to play in our first team," Jones said ahead of the game at Derby. "Whoever plays on Sunday has the opportunity to stake a claim for a place in the play-offs.

"I'll put out a team out that is able to get me a result. If there are one or two who may need to be protected because of injuries or bookings, I'll make that decision as I have all through the season. I'll do it the way I think it should be done. What it will come down to is the 11 players who go out on to the pitch in any game we play have still got to go out and get the result. I believe whatever team I pick will do it.
Cardiff could still finish 3rd if they win and Forest don't. The Bluebirds will find out who they will face in the play offs with Leicester most likely but either Blackpool or Swansea not impossible.
