'My main aim this season is to get promoted with Cardiff.
'And hopefully I can.
'But if I don't get promoted with Cardiff, hopefully I can be in the Premiership next season with someone else.'
The comments provoked much debate before a statement was issued today by Chopra via the official website www.cardiffcityfc.co.uk which reads
"I think what I've said has been misunderstood a touch last night. I do want to play in the Premiership and ideally with Cardiff City. I stress with Cardiff City because I'm loving it down here and the fans and Club have been magic with me. Like any ambitious striker though, I've set my sights on playing at the highest level at some stage in my career. That means at some stage, while I'm still young, I'd like to get up there - as all the rest of the Club would."
