City stay in 6th place after the weekends matches. With Derby a whopping 10 points ahead of City in 1st place 2nd placed Preston, only 4 points away looks a more realistic ambition for City to chase.

Derby won with a late goal at Southampton. Preston in 2nd won at Sheff Weds. WBA are 3rd after their win at Hull. Birmingham were the only other side in the top 6 (after Southampton) that failed to win. They picked up a point at Colchester.

Any the teams in 7th - 10th place will feel they have a fair chance at making the play off spots. Sunderland, Stoke, Colchester and Wolves are alll within 5 points of 6th spot.
