There were two similar, but interesting articles in the media on Wednesday. Both run with the line that Chairman Mehmet Dalman (pictured) was Malky Mackay's main ally in the 5 hour board meeting on Monday.
It seems that Dalman has given Mackay the assurances he wanted and the article in the Daily Mail suggests that CEO Simon Lim has not come out of the meeting in a good light with Lim's relationship said to be 'problematic'.
There has still not been a definitive statement as to why Iain Moody was sacked and it seems that 23 year old Alisher Apsalyamov will continue as interim head of recruitment but with Malky having the final say.
Mackay is keen to continue his job and hopes to have a good working relationship with Dalman. Vincent Tan is due in the UK ahead of the Swansea game on November 3rd and will hold private talks with Mackay and the Chairman.

The Cardiff City Supporters' Trust are unhappy that there has not been a clearer statement made to the fans to clear up some of the issues that have seen the club making headlines for the wrong reasons.
Keith Morgan, a member of the board of Cardiff City Supporters’ Trust, responding to the statement issued by Cardiff City in the wake of Monday’s board meeting, said:
“We are disappointed that the statement contains no reference to fans, no consideration of putting an elected supporter representative on the board and also the issues which caused the upheaval at the club have not been addressed in the statement. We believe that far greater dialogue between the club owner and senior management and the supporters of the Bluebirds is vitally necessary in the future.
“We note that interest paid of £5.8m has been written off by Mr Tan which is good news for the club’s future and makes reference to interest free loans. But we are puzzled that the statement contains no reference to Mr Tan converting the debt, which has been built up, into shares. Further clarification is needed from the club’s owner on this matter.
“We once again reiterate our full support for Malky Mackay and hope he leads the Bluebirds to even greater success in the Premier League.”
