The statement issued to the press and via the official websites says:
Following reports in the local media of the imminent return of former owner Sam Hammam, Cardiff City Football Club confirm that there are no plans to have Mr Hammam return to the Club in any capacity.
The only scheduled meetings due to take place are those being brokered through the Clubs solicitors and relate to the Langston debts. The Club again notes that it wasn't asked for any comments or views before the article was published.
The Club re-affirms its primary aim is to get the organisation back on a sensible and balanced business footing and to work through the challenges of the various debts, cashflow issues and other basic business functions in order to get the Football Club successfully competing on the pitch and stable off it.
Today saw the start of the return of the playing squad to Cardiff ahead of the first pre season friendly next Thursday at Bath City. The club need to be focussing on the new season on the pitch and not turmoil off it.
