Cardiff v West Brom

Last updated : 15 February 2010 By BBC Sport

West Brom defender Gonzalo Jara is out with a foot injury.

Abdoulaye Meite (ankle) has also been ruled out, while winger Andy Slory is struggling with an Achilles injury but could still play some part.

MATCH PREVIEW

A victory for the home side would mean three consecutive league wins at the Cardiff City Stadium for the first time - and the Welsh club's first league double over West Brom for 80 years.

It would also be a 100th win as Bluebirds boss for Dave Jones, who is currently the longest-serving manager in the Championship.

Jones' side beat Albion 2-0 at The Hawthorns in December and are now looking to close the 11-point gap between them and the second-placed Baggies.

But Albion are in excellent form and only lost top spot in the table on Saturday because they were involved in the FA Cup. A win would be the Midlands club's fourth in a row and make it their best league run since 2004.
