Cardiff v Sunderland. Match preview

It promises to be a great occasion with tickets flying out through the door.

A large crowd of potentially around 19,000 will see a team in form at home and visitors Sunderland, who are in fine form all round, face each other.

Automatic promotion looks to be beyond City just now but a place off place certainly isn't and Sunderland have an eye on the top two places. Neither side can afford to drop points in their quest for promotion.

If City were to make it to the play offs then it's been confirmed that this season's finals will be held at Wembley after 7 years in Cardiff.

Michael Chopra is looking good for a place in the City line up after coming through raining on Wednesday and Thursday. The final decision will be made ater the players meet up on Friday. The same could be said for Riccy Scimeca. Darren Purse is definately out though.

Sunderland will be without winger Carlos Edwards (shoulder), while Nyron Nosworthy (ankle) is a doubt too.

But striker Stephen Elliott could return and Graham Kavanagh has started light training after a knee problem. The game comes too soon for former Bluebird Kavanagh.

Cardiff welcome new signing Warren Feeney to the squad.

Hopefully struggling teams Leeds and Q.P.R. will do City a favour by taking points off Preston and West Brom respectively.

Get to Ninian Park early especially if you are collecting pre ordered tickets or if you are planning to buy on the day. The ticket office is open until 7pm on Friday and from 9am on matchday.
