Bluebirds back on home soil looking for a first win of the season. Visitors Sheffield Wednesday have lost all three of their matches so far this season. Cardiff have a point, picked up at Leeds.

Cardiff will be without Nottingham Forest loanee Josh Bowler, who has a calf problem. 

Right-back Mahlon Romeo is suspended after a red card in last weekend's 2-1 league defeat at Leicester City, but Perry Ng will return from injury to take over the full-back berth.

  • Cardiff City have lost their last two league games against Sheffield Wednesday, doing so in the 2020-21 campaign.
  • They haven't lost three in a row against the Owls since May 1984 (run of four).
