Deadline-day signing Bruno Ecuele Manga could make his Cardiff debut at home to Norwich on Saturday following his £5 million-plus move from French club Lorient. But Bluebirds boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer says he will first gauge the effects of the central defender's long trip to southern Africa this week where he played in Gabon's Africa Cup of Nations qualifier in Lesotho.
"Bruno is available and he's in my thoughts," said Solskjaer, who is again set to be without Craig Noone (groin) and Ben Turner (ankle).
"I need to speak to him as he travelled a long way on Wednesday and I'll make a decision on Saturday."
New-boys Conor McGrandles, Vadis Odjidja-Ofoe, Ignasi Miquel and Jos Hooiveld are included in the Norwich squad. Martin Olsson is available again having missed out against Bournemouth before the international break due to a family bereavement, which followed a three-match suspension.
Gary Hooper may need to wait for his first appearance of the season after picking up a dead leg this week having recovered from a calf injury. Jonny Howson will resume training next week after a knee injury and should come into contention for the Birmingham game on September 20
