Cardiff manager Dave Jones is sweating on the fitness of Stephen McPhail ahead of Leicester's trip to Ninian Park on Saturday.
The Republic of Ireland midfielder was forced off with an ankle problem in last weekend's defeat against Sheffield Wednesday and faces a late fitness test.
Injuries restricted the Bluebirds boss to naming just four substitutes against the Owls and Jones will hope to avoid a repeat on Saturday.
But Riccardo Scimeca is expected to miss out again as he steps up his bid for fitness following a groin problem, while centre-back Glenn Loovens serves the final game of a two-match suspension so Darren Purse is expected to continue alongside Roger Johnson.
Trevor Sinclair could be handed a first start since October after again being named on the bench last week and Darcy Blake will hope to have recovered from a neck problem.
Winger Joe Ledley (hamstring), Robbie Fowler (hip) and Warren Feeney (ankle) will again be sidelined.
Gareth McAuley is suspended for the Foxes' trip to Cardiff so Bruno N'Gotty will be recalled to the starting XI.
McAuley must serve a one-match ban after collecting his fifth yellow card of the season in the defeat at Coventry.
"It gives big Bruno a chance. He has probably been a little bit upset because I haven't picked him more than I have, but here is his chance to show me," said Foxes boss Ian Holloway.
"He last started at Norwich (January 19) and he did very well. I left him out of the next game, so hopefully he will feel he has a point to prove and I am sure he will. He is a quality player."
Fellow defenders Joe Mattock and Richard Stearman have resumed training following the leg injuries that ruled them out at the Ricoh Arena and are available for selection, while midfielder Lee Hendrie goes straight into the squad following his arrival on loan from Sheffield United.
