Ipswich Town manager Paul Jewell could recall striker Tamas Priskin to the starting line-up.
Colin Healy has been ruled out with the stomach injury he sustained at QPR last month, but David Norris made a surprise return last week and will start.
MATCH PREVIEW
Cardiff have suffered four consecutive defeats at the hands of Ipswich, but the Welsh club's recent form means they can approach Saturday's game with plenty of confidence.
City have won their last two matches and lost only one of their last eight. Not since October, when they won five in a row and topped the Championship, have Dave Jones' side notched three successive wins.
They are one place and one point outside of the automatic promotion spots, and will be hoping to extend Ipswich's first real wobble since the appointment of Paul Jewell, whose honeymoon period as Town boss is perhaps coming to an end.
Ipswich have shown since Jewell's arrival that they are a team to be reckoned with. A return to winning ways would be a boost for them after back-to-back 2-0 defeats. It would also be their first away win of the season against a team currently above them in the table.
