The team though are not actually representing Cardiff City FC. They used to but there was a parting of the ways and because of the rules and regulations of the league the team could not change it's name.
The officially recognised Ladies team of the football club is currently playing under the name of Merthyr.
In another bizarre twist Cardiff City Ladies (not official) beat Merthyr Ladies (the official CCFC team) earlier in the FA Cup tournament.
Either way well done to the team who now face the Gunners.
