League One's top scorer Eoin Doyle is set to sign for Cardiff City this evening.Doyle is at CCS after the clubs agreed a fee that will top £1m with add ons.
The 26 year old has scored 25 goals in all competitions this season with 21 of those coming in the League. He has scored 32 goals in 52 league starts for The Spirites since moving from Hibernian 18 months ago.
Chesterfield chief executive Chris Turner said: "We have reached an agreement with Cardiff after negotiating a deal we feel is good business for the club.
"Some of the money we receive will be used to reduce the club's debt but funds are also being made available to manager Paul Cook to strengthen the squad and one or two signings are in the pipeline."
