Cardiff City v Fulham. Match preview

Last updated : 25 February 2017 By Michael Morris

Cardiff's preparations for the visit of Fulham in the Sky Bet Championship were rocked by news of striker Rhys Healey's serious injury this week.

The Bluebirds learned the 22-year-old could be out for nine months after tearing his anterior cruciate and medial collateral ligaments against Rotherham last weekend.

Junior Hoilett, who replaced Healey in that game, could start in his place.

Hoilett is set to sign a contract extention following the news that boss Neil Warnock has agreed to stay at Cardiff for at least another season.

Veteran striker Rickie Lambert was also due to see a specialist this week to assess the extent of his back injury.

Fulham's Ryan Fredericks is hoping for a recall after a spell of enforced absence.

The full-back completed a three-match suspension last weekend but started Wednesday's 2-0 win at Bristol City on the bench.

But boss Slavisa Jokanovic has no new injury worries and could opt to stick with a winning side.

Jokanovic on Thursday signed a new contract keeping him with Fulham until 2019.
