Cardiff City res v Bristol City res. Match preview

Peter Thorne is the elder statesman of the reserve team squad that face Bristol City this afternoon. The 31 year old is looking for a first taste of action since sustaining a neck injury in pre season.

Thorne is joined in the squad by the youngsters including Stuart Fleetwood and Nicky Fish who are back with City after their Wales U21 triumph in Azerbaijan. There is no Wales U21 action this week so they are available for City.

Should Thorne come through today he could find himself involved at the City Ground on Saturday when Cardiff play Nottingham Forest.
