Cardiff 2 - 0 Hapoel Ironi Kiryat Shmona

Cardiff picked up their first win of the pre season schedulen with a 2 - 0 victory over Israeli side Hapoel Ironi Kiryat Shmona.

The game, played in Putten, Netherlands, was another chance for Russell Slade to give lots a players a run out.

The starting line up was:

Simon Moore; Lee Pelter, Bruno Manga, Matt Connolly, Fabio, Craig Noone, Peter Whittingham, Aron Gunnarsson, Joe Ralls, Alex Revell, Joe Mason.

Manga scored the opener around the 18th minute mark when Craig Noone's ball in the box fell to the Gabonese international.

City made five changes at half time. They were:

Wilson for Moore, Malone for Peltier, Doyle for Mason, Macheda for Revell and O’Keefe for Gunnarsson.

More changes were made in thre second half:

Ameobi, Pilkington and Morrison for Noone, Ralls and Connolly. Followed by:

Ajayi on for Manga and John for Fabio.

The final change saw Peter Whittingham replaced by Mastt Kennedy in the 80th minute.

City scored the goal that secured victory two minutes later when Anthony Pilkington headed the Bluebirds into a 2 - 0 lead. It was Pilkington's second goal of the pre season campaign after scoring a free kick against Shrewsbury on Saturday.

Next up City face Sparta Rotterdam on Friday in a game that's being played behind closed doors.
