Tonight's 1 - 1 draw against VFL Bochum ended a productive and positive pre-season tour to Germany.
Cardiff found themselves a goal behind at half time after a towering header from former Fulham player Tim Hoogland. City did come close when Kenneth Zohore smashed the cross bar but the half ended with the German side a goal up.
But it took only a couple minutes of the seacond half for City to draw level. Semi Ajayi released Frederic Gounongbe with a ball over the top before the Benin striker was hauled down and Peter Whittingham emphatically converted the spot kick.

Whittingham went close later in the game when his free kick hit the post.
The game ended 1 - 1. City come home unbeaten after an abandoned game last week against Ahlem, a trophy winning double victory against Osnabruck and St Pauli and tonight's draw with Bochum.
A City XI will face Exeter at St James Park on Thursday night before the first team squad travel to Bournemouth on Saturday. That will be the last full game before the season kicks off at St Andrews against Birmingham City on August 6th.
City v Bochum: Marshall; Richards, James, Connolly, Peltier, Fabio; Whittingham, Ralls, Gunnarsson; Zohore, Gounongbe.
