Hull City manager Peter Taylor also coaches the England U21's and this week his English U21 league side faces it's Italian counterparts at Hull City's KC Stadium.
Cameron Jerome is in the squad for the English League but Taylor expressed concern after Saturdays City win over Hull.
"Unfortunately, he's gone off with a groin injury, so it wouldn't surprise me if he wasn't fit," Taylor told the press after the match.
"Jerome's a very good player, that's why there's interest in him. He's also a nice lad and he's going to get better because he's exactly that - an honest boy who will want to improve.
"When you work with him on the training pitch he wants to improve.
"I thought he played very well - his touch was good and so too was his vision.
"Of course I'm disappointed that Cardiff scored, but, if they had to score, I'm delighted for Cameron. He's a good lad."
