There is no official confirmation of the alleged approach with only a Ninian Park insider quoted in the papers.
"Palace are interested in Jobi and their interest is quite serious," a Ninian Park insider told the Western Mail yesterday.
"Jobi joining Palace is a possibility. It won't happen today or tomorrow but it could happen next week.
"We've had some money from Wigan and West Brom recently but the club is in serious financial trouble. It's extremely likely that more players will have to be sold. Jobi won't be the only one."
It's thought that City still owe money to West Ham for the player and any transfer would wipe out that debt as well as bringing in extra revenue and cutting down on the wage bill.
At the moment though it's just speculation.
