'We've got players who have turned out in big games in the Premier League so we will be up for it,' he told the Echo.
'Some players may freeze with such an atmosphere, but most of my players have played in these big game environments before.
'We know though it's never an easy place to go, and with it being such a big game there's sure to be added spice to it.'
'We are expecting them to come at us at a frantic pace.
'I had my scouts at their first home game against West Brom and they were very impressed.
'The way they kept the ball and put pressure on a side like West Brom shows they will be a real handful for us if we start on the back foot.
'So we need to be right at it from the very word go and try to set the tone for the game.'
Meanwhile Cameron Jerome has no fear coming back to Ninian Park. There are sections of the fans that will turn against him for newspaper comments before his move to Birmingham but not from me. 20 goals an £4m in the bank. I say we should be thanking Cameron Jerome.
'I have absolutely nothing to prove to the fans or any of the players,' he said.
'They all know what I can do.
'I did well for them by scoring goals and then with the club selling me which helped bring in quite a few players.
'So I'd like to think I wouldn't get a bad reception.
'But if I do get one I will take it with a pinch of salt and won't let the crowd affect me.'
