Bristol Rovers res 4 - 1 Cardiff City res

A Gavin Gordon goal to give City a deserved lead early on ended up scant consolation as Bristol Rovers pressed on to win 4 - 1. City put through their own net to make it 1 - 1 and Rovers had made it 2 - 1 before half time.

A further two goals in the second half for Rovers secured a win for the gas that means City finished their league cup group in last place. From the 5 games played in the cup group table City only picked up 2 points.

In contrast the reserves lead the way in the league competition.
