The local station commented that number of Londoners, purporting to be West Ham fans, went to the Bournemouth game by coach with the intention of creating trouble with Cardiff City supporters.
They had someone on from the local police saying that everything was fine, Cardiff fans were just enjoying a pre-game drink when the coachload from London started trouble in the pub. He said two Cardiff fans were injured but nobody from Cardiff arrested. There were 4 arrests – two from Romford who travelled on the coach and two from Bournemouth. Police also said no trouble whatsoever at game or ground and match was played in a very good spirit between both sets of fans.
The BBC have also just this morning put an article on this on their website. Link here.
