He explained his move to the Echo.
"I was in the team at Barnsley, but I'm out of contract at the end of the season and they are in mid-table. There is nothing to play for and that's why I grabbed the chance when City wanted me on loan.
"It's going to be tough over the last eight matches, but I'm up for the challenge big time. I'll relish a big test of my goalscoring ability. But if I can score four or five goals during the run-in that will help the cause. I will do everything in my power to achieve that."
