The Welsh press are all falling over themselves to build up Swanselona ahead of thier play off final this afternoon at Wembley.
The News of the World were strong on linking Bothroyd to Everton but there have also been links to Celtic as well.
As for the player himself, well he's saying nothing other than to report on Twitter that he's off to play golf in the rain today.
At the end of last week Michael Chopra was linked to Ipswich, managed now by Paul Jewell. Chopra was linked to Ipswich previously when Roy Keane was in charge.
Peter Whittingham to Norwich was another whisper.
City have lost over 10 players with Bothroyd, Burke, Rae and Matthews all leaving after seeing out their contracts and all the loan players have returned to their clubs.
The board / owners now have to decide if they are going to give Dave Jones their backing to build a new side for the coming season or if they are going to make a change.
With nearly two weeks having passed since City's limp play off exit you feel they might be listening to what Jones has to say. Finance will come into that with reports that Jones would need a hefty pay off if he were to be sacked.
What is might gut feeling? I really don't know. They might be trying to negotiate Jones' way out of the club, they might be discussing transfer budgets. Just don't leave it too long. We want to be properly prepared fo the new campaign which starts in less than 70 days.
