Bluebirds Pride with massive win at Derby

Last updated : 14 February 2017 By Michael Morris

Difficult to put tonight into words.

Cardiff went away to an impossible looking fixture at Leeds on the weekend and won 2 - 0 with a stunning performance but they raised the bar tonight at Pride Park.

It seemed the match was all over early on as Derby led 2 - 0 but Kadeem Harris reduced the arrears before half time and moments after the break Harris made it 2 - 2.

Soon after Craig Noone scored a trademark goal as he cut in from the right to curl an effort into the top left corner.

Derby bounced back and levelled through Darren Bent as the striker scored his second of the game.

With 10 minutes to go, with the scores, 3 - 3 Neil Warnock brought on striker Rhys Healey for defensive midfielder Greg Halford.

And it paid off, Healey broke free in the box before being felled to win Cardiff a penalty.

Joe Ralls cooly despatched the kick and Cardiff saw out six minutes of added time to produced a stunning 4 - 3 victory.

The win takes City into the top half of the table and next up are bottom side Rotherham (another of Warnock's old clubs) as CCS on Saturday.
