Bluebirds lead the way in Algarve Cup

After the opening night of Algarve Challenge Cup action Cardiff City are 3 points ahead at the top of the table. The competition awards three points for a win and a point for every goal scored.

City beat Guimaraes 2 - 1 giving them a total of 5 points. Celtic and Middlesbrough follow up with 2 points each after their 1 - 1 draw and Guimaraes bring up the rear with 1 point.

The competition climaxes on Thursday when Middlesbrough face Guimaraes, ko 7:15pm and FA Cup Finalists Cardiff City face SPL Champions Celtic in the final game.
